AMS was founded by Francesco and Stefano Pelizza. Both mechanical engineers, they have put together the knowledge gained in many years working in aerospace field with the sailing experience coming from several miles of blue water racing.
AMS core business is the designing and analysis of composite materials for nautical field (masts, appendages, hulls etc.), but the company also works in the industrial and aeronautical field performing finite element analysis and structural design for many different applications.
AMS has been in charge of the structural design of hull, mast and appendages of the RC44.
